Hey ArtStation friends! 🎉
I’m excited to share this little environment I created as part of my comprehensive Unreal Engine course in Persian. This part of the course dives into some technical aspects of environment creation, covering a wide range of topics:
🔸 Stylized vs. realistic approaches
🔸 Building a solid reference board
🔸 Detailed use of Unreal's modeling tools
🔸 UV management and unwrapping in Unreal
🔸 The importance of a good block out
🔸 Creating landscape materials for a stylized look
🔸 Using Runtime Virtual Textures (RVT)
🔸 Setting up foliage for this art style
🔸 Blueprint creation for level design
This project was a fun challenge! I wanted to break down each process step-by-step, especially for creating a stylized environment from scratch. While I used an asset package to add some background details, I crafted the main assets—like buildings, stones, wood, and foliage—myself.
For the technical side, I used:
UE5 for base modeling
3ds Max to refine and prep models for the scene
ZBrush for sculpting
Substance Painter and Designer for texturing
The main focus was building an efficient workflow within Unreal Engine, and some of these steps go beyond what’s included in the course itself. 😊
Hope you enjoy this project, and I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! Feel free to drop me a DM too.
